Justin Fukushima-Bassist

Hello my musical background is in Jazz .
I attended Jazz school in (1997 Christchurch polytechnic) originally for guitar, under Neil Piccard, and Bob Heinz.
I’ve played fusion funk and acid jazz bands ever since then, and I’ve played semi-professionally for over 25 years.
I also sing and produce music .
I opened for "Pharaoh Sanders" at skycity and played at Mt Smart stadium for the " Galaxy-soccer team " and " The Warriors verse Roosters " games.
I'm influenced by musicians like "Miles Davis", "Mike Stern" , " John Schofield " , "George Benson ", " Ronny Jordan " , " Marcus Miller " , " Jaco Pastoriuos "

I’ve played in an rnb band “Move” for 8 years also gigged with “ Kara Gordon ", and also played in the covers band “ Kylie T and the back beat ", for the last 8 years as bassist and vocalist .

When I perform I'm in my element cheers!
